Hi, I’m Jess. :)
I love Jesus.
I love my husband.
I have three of the most adorable boys ever in life.
I have a love-hate relationship with naptime. I love when they nap… I hate when they don’t. But if that’s my biggest problem, life is good.
I love to create… sewing and cooking are where I spend most of my time. Occasionally I dabble in other things. When I find the time, energy, or motivation to do any of these, my day is happier.
I try to make things that are practical for my family – things we will really use. The faster and cheaper the project, the better. I love fabric, but I hate spending a lot of money on it.
I love thrifting. I get a thrill out of creating new life out of something discarded. Upcycling can sometimes give you the best fabrics – things you wouldn’t be able to buy otherwise. It’s also less wasteful and cheaper, which I happen to love.
I used to get paid to teach other people’s kiddos. Now I get paid in kisses by my own, and it’s pretty much the best job I’ve ever had.
I am homeschooling my littles. I never thought I would say that. We’re just beginning this journey, and I couldn’t be happier about where God has our family right now.
I try to live naturally, to keep my family and planet healthy. I’m passionate about eating whole, real foods – the fewer processed foods the better. But I also unashamedly feed my kids frozen chicken nuggets.
I love a good conversation, a good mocha, and a comfy chair. Especially all together.
